Ingredients
Non-stick cooking spray
8 slices bacon
2 cups Martha White Self-Rising Flour
1/4 cup all-vegetable shortening
3/4 cup milk
Instructions
Heat oven to 450°F. Lightly spray a cookie sheet with no-stick cooking spray. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp. Drain on paper towels. Crumble.
Place flour in a large bowl. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cooked bacon. Add milk; stir with a fork until a soft dough forms, and the mixture begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface just until smooth. Roll out the dough to a 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a floured 2-inch round cutter. Place on the prepared cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
