Ingredients
Non-stick cooking spray
2 packages Martha White Apple Cinnamon Muffin Mix
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 apple, cored and thinly sliced
1 ½ tablespoons raw (turbinado) sugar
Instructions
Heat oven to 400°F. Spray a 9-inch round cake pan lightly with non-stick spray.
Add the muffin mix, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg to a large bowl and whisk to combine.
Pour in the milk and vanilla and stir gently just until blended.
Spread batter in prepared pan. Arrange the apple slices in an even layer over the top. Sprinkle the surface with raw sugar.
Bake at 350º F. until golden brown and the cake begins to pull away from the sides of the pan, about 30 minutes.
