Ingredients
Non-stick cooking spray
Bread:
2 cups Martha White Self-Rising Flour
2 tablespoons dry mustard
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 cup (4 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Topping:
1/4 cup (1 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon butter, cut into pieces
Instructions
Heat oven to 350°F. Spray the bottom only of an 8 x 4 or 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Combine flour and dry mustard in a large bowl; mix well.
Combine milk, melted butter, and eggs in a small bowl; blend well. Add to the flour mixture; mix well. Stir in 1 cup cheese. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup cheese. Top with 1 tablespoon butter.
Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Remove from the pan; place on a wire rack. Cool for 1 hour or until completely cooled.
