Start Cooking
You have to enter to win, so get out your cast iron
cookware and corn meal or cornbread mix and stir up a
winning recipe.
"Remember, your entry has to be a main dish, but it
doesn't have to be complicated. In fact, a good idea, using
a few basic ingredients usually makes the best recipe,"
advises Linda Carman, the Martha White® cornbread expert.
" Just think about what tastes good with cornbread and put
it all together."
For inspiration, try our Jalapeno Cornbread Shortcake
with Black Bean Chili - a savory version of shortcake. This
easy recipe uses a cornbread mix for the shortcake and the
chili is seasoned with bottled salsa. What could be easier
for a weekday supper?
