Bread:
2 cups Martha White® Self-Rising Flour
2 tablespoons dry mustard
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 eggs
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Topping:
1/4 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, cut into pieces
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease bottom only of 8x4 or 9x5-inch loaf pan. In large bowl, combine flour and dry mustard; mix well.
2. In small bowl, combine milk, melted butter and eggs; blend well. Add to flour mixture; mix well. Stir in 1 cup cheese. Pour batter into greased pan. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup cheese. Top with 1 tablespoon butter.
3. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 50 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan; place on wire rack. Cool 1 hour or until completely cooled. Wrap tightly and store in refrigerator.
